What will my cloud mural look like? Designing clouds are often improvisational but let me know if there are specific areas of the room you would like filled. I can create digital mock ups of potential arrangements if preferred. I will also provide you with options of shades of blue and different suggestions for types and density of cloud(s). You can also request gradients (I currently only offer blue to white) for an additional cost

How do you make the cloud murals? My cloud murals are all painted by hand with interior wall paint, some trusty brushes and step ladders. Before painting I will wipe down the surface of your ceiling / wall and make sure it is suitable to be painted on. I will let you know if your surface needs a primer but most ceilings and typically fine to paint directly on top of. 

How much does it cost? Pricing will depend on your room size, accessibility, level of detail requested and your current financial situation.
Currently I have a sliding scale of around $50-150 per square metre* not including materials cost
Adding sky gradients (fading from lighter blue/white to blue underneath clouds) are an extra $300-600 depending on the size of the room
Cost of materials may be around $100-150

Payment?

Before painting I will request a deposit of half the invoice, then the 2nd invoice will be paid upon completion. I also offer payment plans if this is preferred

How long does it take? Because of the unusual posture of this work I typically paint shorter hour blocks a day (between 3-6 hours) over a week or two.
Smaller rooms (2x2 - 4x4) can take up to a week to complete
Larger spaces (5x5 - 7x7) or rooms that extend around corners could be up to 2 weeks

What do I need to do to the room before you can start the mural?
To ensure accessibility please prepare the room to be not overly cluttered and easy to navigate before painting. I suggest that anything super delicate or fragile be placed in another room whilst painting is happening. If there are any large items of furniture blocking areas of the ceiling we can discuss options for working around that, whether that be less detail in a particular corner or moving furniture around. Everything will be negotiated before painting begins. I cover the room with drop sheets to ensure all furniture and surfaces are protected. 

Can you come to my house to look at my ceiling and let me know what you think?

Yes! I offer in-person consults at your desired mural location. This can be handy for planning what is possible in your space and understanding exact turn around times.
